Mica serves as one of HRE Commercial's winery experts. Mica, combined with the HRE Winery team makes working with HRE Commercial the perfect choice to represent your interests when purchasing or selling a winery or vineyard.  His California Department of Real Estate license, combined with his education, experience and team makes him a uniquely qualified to lead the way with support and understanding of the issues facing wineries and vineyards in today's market.  

Mica Raas grew up in the Santa Cruz mountains and attended Sonoma State University where we earned a Bachelor of Science in Geology and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies, additionally studying winemaking through UC Davis. Working for various wineries and growers throughout Napa Valley, Sonoma, and the Central Coast.  Mica developed his passion for growing grapes and winemaking, and in 2009 he founded Myka Cellars.

Inspired by the promise of the wine growing regions of the Sierra Foothills, Raas moved the winery and his family to El Dorado County in 2016. Here Raas quickly became the highest awarded winemaker in the county. While overseeing production for Myka Estates, 1850 Wine Cellars, and Fringe Wines while managing over 120 acres of estate vineyards.  He has produced four consecutive vintages of Wine Enthusiast Best Buy wines, and wines that have earned over 150 medals and over 100 wines with 90+ points since moving to the El dorado County.

2024 marks Raas’ 21th year in the winemaking and vineyard Management and has been consulting for independent winery and vineyard since 2009.  Providing winemaking and vineyard services throughout California. In this time, he has become an expert at vineyard management, development, and mechanization. He has designed and built four wineries and consulted on efficiency and quality improvements on many more.
